Setting Up Outlook for Offline use

Setting up your laptop to work with Outlook Offline

As a laptop user, when not in the office, you want to be able to send
and receive emails. Simply follow the instructions below to setup your Outlook:

Go to your Control Panel. Click ‘Start’ and then ‘Control Panel

(Note: in Vista you will find the above icon by opening the ’32 bit control panel’. In Windows 7 you will find the icon under ‘User Accounts and Family Safety’). You will then see the following:

Click ‘Show Profiles’, the following screen will be displayed:

Make sure that ‘Prompt for a profile to be used’ is checked

Click ‘Add...’ the following screen will be displayed:

Create New Profile

Enter ‘eOffice’ into the box labelled ‘Profile name’ and click OK. You will now see the following screen. Make sure the box Manually configure server settings or additional server types is checked, then click the button ‘Next’

Auto Account Setup

On the next screen, check ‘Microsoft Exchange’ and click ‘Next’

On the next screen... Enter the following into the box ‘Microsoft Exchange Server’: Oxymx01s.e-office.bm

Enter server details

Ensure that the ‘Use Cached Exchange Mode’ is checked
Now enter the User name supplied to you by Oxygen. Enter that user name in the ‘User Name’ box but do not click ‘Check Name’. Now click ‘Next’. You will receive the following message, click OK

You will then be displayed with the previous screen:

You will then be displayed with the following screen:

Configuring Outlook

Click the tab labelled ‘Connection’ and you will see...

Check the box for ‘Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP’ and then click the button labelled ‘Exchange Proxy Settings’ The following screen will be displayed:

Make sure your screen exactly matches the screen above. All four tick boxes should be checked In the box, under the label ‘Use this URL to connect...’ enter
mail.e-office.bm

In the box, under the label ‘Only connect to proxy servers...
enter ‘MSSTD: mail.e-office.bm

Basic Authentication should be selected from the drop down box in the section labelled ‘Proxy Authentication settings

Now click ‘OK’ and on the next screen ‘OK’ again.
You will now see the following screen:

Click ‘Next

Congratulations

Now click ’Finish’ and open Outlook.
You will be prompted for which profile you want to use:

Select ‘eOffice’ and click ‘OK

Select Profile

You will be prompted to enter your Username and Password given to you by Oxygen:

Username and Password

Enter your User Name followed by ‘@e-office.bm’ (without quotation) Enter your password. Remember your password is case-sensitive. Click ‘OK

Well done. Outlook should now open and you will be able to use Outlook on your laptop, connecting into your eOffice mailbox, as if you were in the Office.
